Thirty-nine recipients of the 72nd Annual Peabody Awards were honored May 20 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. The Peabodys, bestowed by the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, cite the best in electronic media.
SouthLAnd’s executive producer Jonathan Lisco accepted on SouthLAnd’s behalf saying, “We tried to create characters who are ‘utterly specific in emotional honesty.'”
